Leather Sofa

How can I clean my leather sofa?
The full grain leather we use for our sofas is a natural leather that preserves all of its original characteristics. This is why we can see scars, veins, differences in grain and colour shades, characteristics that give evidence of the product's quality and naturalness. This type of leather should be cleaned exclusively with a slightly damp cloth and neutral soap.
For stains caused by soluble substances (like soft drinks, coffee, tea, milk, etc.), quickly blot the liquid with a white, non-abrasive cloth. Then dry immediately with a clean cloth, avoiding soaking the surface of the leather.
Shiny (cuoietto) or vintage look (antiqued) full grain leathers, given their delicate aniline finish, cannot be washed with neutral soap; in this case, simply dust the sofa with a dry cloth.
>>>To prevent premature deterioration of the leather, we recommend keeping a decent distance between the sofa and any heat sources like stoves or radiators <<<

How can I clean my fabric-covered sofa?
Two cleaning procedures are possible: dry cleaning and washing with water by hand or in the washing machine. Take it to a specialised cleaner’s for dry cleaning. It can be washed in water either by hand or in the washing machine. To wash the cover in water, carefully read the fabric label and the information label attached to the sofa, paying attention to all the information relative to the maximum washing temperature and to whether or not it needs to be ironed after drying.

How do I take the cover off my fabric-covered sofa?
The cover can be taken off a fabric-covered sofa with a few quick operations:
* remove all seat and back cushions and take their covers off by unzipping the zippers;
* unzip the zipper located on the bottom of the sofa frame;
* detach the Velcro located along the outer perimeter of the sofa and slide the cover off from both sides, starting from the corners (the classic models with a flounce but no Velcro can be slipped off directly).

Can the covers be removed from all fabric-covered sofas?
The covers can be removed from all fabric covered sofas and sofa beds, except for the classic “Liberty” model which, due to the design characteristics and in order to enhance its details, is made with slipcovers for the cushions but not for the frame.
Sofa Bed

How do I open my sofa bed?
We offer two types of sofa bed with two different bases: sofa beds with arc-welded base and sofa beds with slat base. Sofa beds with arc-welded base are designed to allow intense use of the bed; in fact, they have an excellent 15 cm thick mattress. In this case, the cushions are fastened directly to the base and do not need to be removed when opening the bed. Sofa beds with slat base, on the other hand, are designed to be used occasionally, since this type of base will take a mattress no thicker than 8 cm; the slat base may be assembled on all models that we offer. Here are the operations for opening the two different bed base mechanisms.
Opening an arc-welded base:
• Lift the sofa back by the cushions, in the central part, and pull towards the outside: the base will open with just one practical and easy movement, further facilitated by a handle located inside the back.
Opening a slat base:
• Remove the seat and back cushions
• Pull the base located in the lower part of the sofa towards the outside. Watch the sofa bed demonstration videos on the Berto Salotti YouTube channel.
